fake PR work

ambitious tycoons somehow are frustrated of failing to contribute to society. wt we're commonly referring as CSR in the company context.

i am impressed by uncle 4's 1M 1 apartment scheme.
RESPECT.

we have seen many people, non-stop founding so-called NGOs, charity, social enterprises.

how many are sustainable?

how many are functional?

how many are influential?

just like in Gundam 00, "which part of the world is bent anyway? "

it is always true:

what do people with power want? more power (Matrix)

beautiful biography, more power, more resources, more money

infinite loop.

Work Philosophy 1

On the basis that you are not starving.

Having lunch on time is not definitely a good thing.

BUT,

Having a late lunch / tea

after finishing a task

is ALWAYS a good thing.

Jet lag

Adapting to jet lag is never an easy thing to some people,
especially when you just returned to your home country after you have adapted to the travelled country in which the timezone difference between those 2 is large.

if it happens that you are going to a short trip that involves long-distance flights,
feel free to go through my lesson learnt from my experience:

6 hours difference: sleep tight on your plane

12-15 hours difference: DO NOT sleep on your plane.

This makes your life better when you're back,

otherwise,

sleeping at 9pm and insomnia continues at midnight.

Secrets

The rise of Secrets group in Facebook has triggered my interest somehow. Indeed it is highly related to a Cyberpsychology research proposal I was involved at the current semester.

The whole thing about these Secrets Groups is that it provides anonymous identity, users can write any contents from criticizing a person to views of sensitive issues.

Being anonymous is good, isn't it. One portrays themselves as a "You'll never know who I really am" person. Expressing viewpoints that are not usually expressed to others due to sensitivity and peer pressure enables them to have higher satisfaction, as reflected by their choice of words.

As long as the content is not harrassing (too many to be listed but generally those violations as suggested by Facebook), the secrets are permanent.

This meanwhile reduces self-awareness of accountability. By deindividuation we feel less responsible for what we publish onto the Internet, we are not aware of IP trackers and others actions.

If it is a secret anyway, why bother to tell.

If it is not a secret, but indeed something in your mind, then it's not really a secret

It is the real-self.
How lovely it is when you see people have a way to express themselves without having any burden especially on interpersonal issues,
yet the sadness comes from the boost of negative enengy due to complaint, criticisms and anger.

Last day - to be graduated

When the last teaching day has come, it reminds final year students that its time for them to go.

It's time to leave the University

It's time to face the reality

There're always booths, flags, flags, boards and stuff all around in the last day, celebrating the to-be-official graduation.

We just get happier with it. We do... The way we held the props, the way we smiled, the way we laughed. They all hinted how much happy we were.

Marketing? True... but Thanks, it brings a lot of joy and fun in which money wouldn't be able to give that to me.

One might think there is no props, would there still be something like last-day phototaking, especially in university a place generally regarded as full of people come and go across life.

I believe the answer is a crystal clear yes.

Because I still have hope on the sincerity of my friends : )

Protect your dignity

To uphold self-esteem and protect face, we justify our actions to be appropriate.

It takes time and love to respect people of the following:

- Putting own stuff in front of a computer and away for hours

- Leaving food-trays on the table

- Shouting at the library

One day they will understand.
